And it's not impossible to get to 200 hp NA. Some have done it.

I mean think about it. you start out at 160-165 hp.
ECU = 10
headers = 15-20
intake/catback = 3-7
SAFC-2 tuned = around 5

Extrude honed USIM/MEVI = 5-7
or 00VI = 5-7

Then you can add a lightened flywheel or UDP although I'm not sure if those have ever had real world results in a HP increase from maxima owners.

If you do all of that with either the 00VI or one of the other manifold extrude honed you could conceivably be in the 200 hp range. An increase of anywhere from 38-49 hp putting you anywhere from 198-214 hp at the wheels. Now while the 214 is very unlikely, just by going by number it's possible.

if you bought your car to try and get 200hp with basic bolt ons then you bought the wrong car.

My 95SE (58,582 miles for NmexMAX's benefit) is not a daily driver. Its an August 1994 production model, ordered in late June 1994 loaded through an autobroker. I didn't take delivery until October 1, 1994 because at the time the cars were delayed coming into Canada since Nissan was making more money bringing them into the US given the foreign exchange rates at that time.

For almost the last 4 years, the car has been driven probably 90% on the highway and may outlive me, lol!

Well, I have seen it now. Impressive, but I wouldnt count on it effecting every car the same way.
I guess Im just skeptical.
Ive swapped out complete catbacks and didnt see any real gains and my current catback has a bit larger piping then the prior.

Well, here is a question. how much do you think you could make with an SC. Doesnt matter how its mounted but what the power levels would be with:

A) 3-6 lbs boost?

B) 6-9 lbs boost?

C) 9-12 lbs boost?

D) 12+ lbs boost?

When I dynoed,
My mods consisted of
UDP
G Force ECU
Budget Y
Greddy SP catback
Straight pipe
Stillen flywheel
and with me manualy opening MEVI
I hit right around 180fwhp on a DynoJet with my 18's
I havent dynoed since my JWT wityh the the extended rev limiter and fully functional MEVI

Typically VI's smooth it out quite a bit compared to the USIM.

well, when he lists the mods, he doesn't say anything for y-pipe, but does for catback, so i'd assume that those numbers are for headers and y-pipe mod. then 15 would be reasonable.

There are people that have hit over 200fwhp with no boost. It just requires every bolt on or nearly every bolt on.

From the dyno I saw I believe the guy made around 7 hp. If it is more than I stand corrected.

And yes when I put headers I meant the headers from Cattman that come with the y-pipe.

DUDE....READ WHAT THEY ARE SAYING...THAT IS WHAT THE HP IS AT THE CRANK/MOTOR...NOT AT THE WHEELS. I could care less if my motor puts out 400 and i only get 200 to the wheels. OMG, people have issues. And maybe 7 hp is what is gained peak, but the fact that the HP continues climbing up in the RPMs opposed to the USIM where it just drops off at 5600 rpm makes it all worthwhile

Yes, all car makers rip us off because only very few cars put down what they're advertised as.... We got jipped about 30hp for 4th gens and 55 for 5.5gens

Why bring up such an OBVIOUS topic?

It's VERY possible to get 200whp/wtq on a NA Maxima. Doing the RIGHT mods will achieve it easily. It doesnt take "sooo much". It takes knowledge, time and money.

After I get my VI on, I should probly be right under 200.

money is work man...i earn just a lil bit over minimum wage...so "easily" isnt really the word to describe...i end up being like a scavenger for maxima parts...but then again you did say time so i guess if im patient my max will be done in about two years...
