Quick Oil Question

Is it possible to change the oil filter without changing the oil? It won't leak everywhere will it?

I changed my oil the other day, but I must've put the filter on too tight the last time and I couldn't get it off, so I've got to get a tool.

Yes but if you just ran new oil though an old filter, I'd just replace both again.

Yes you can take off the filter only. It will drain about 1 quart, so at the very least, you'll have to replace the lost quart. You should have just waited, and changed them both when you got the right tool. Now you should replace them both.
