when replacing stock air filter for a cone filter...

i use my original clip that plugs back into my MAF sensor, there is a secondary clip(plug) that is now disconnected, do i need to do anything with this plug, and what might it be for.

Mine is just hanging there, I think it's an intake temp gauge.

Air intake temp sens. You need to have it pluged in or you may get a CEL. The sensor is kinda worthless on our cars but it still needs to be plugged in. I just zip tied the sensor close to the filter and kept it plugged in.
