AE VLSD Transmission Question.

What is the difference in the 4th Gen Canadian VLSD and the 2001 AE VLSD transmissions?

Will the AE bolt right up to a 4th Gen?

Is the AE somehow better?

Are they the same, but the AE is just preferred because it is newer??

From what I understand, the 5th gen tranny has all the issues and bugs worked out that the 4th gen trannys had. Also they have slightly stronger components due to higher power output of the DE-K engine. The trans will bolt up to the 4th gen, but you'll need to use the LSD axles. As far as the Canadian 4th gen vlsd, and AE, I’m thinking it's the same trans, but the AE one would have all the bugs worked out as well as using stronger internals.
