Woohoo! Does that mean I'll hit 13's?

Once you get the wheelspin out of the way it flies. You were sleeping at the line though.

Yeah, My R/T was 1.111! JClaw, you are in the 13's no doubt. If I can pull a 2.0 - 2.1 with D/R's, i'd be doing 13's all day long..

Are you getting wheelhop too? I'm getting wheelhop + mad torque steer in first and second. Wheelspin is normal, even welcome, but I hate wheelhop.

I was hoping a 13.99@101 would be enough to satisfy me but now you just set the bar higher.

Damn. How come you don't get wheelhop? I know I'm pushing more power than you, but there isn't THAT much of difference. If I floor it at 4-5k in first it just goes nuts.

3.0's do that too. Going from 0% throttle to 100% anywhere from 3 to 6 resulted in mad instantaneous wheel hop for me.

So would a 3.5 with auto in a 4th gen result in 15 flat at the track?

Wow....what did the IS run...low 15s?? Just watching you overtake him, I would've thought you were faster than 14 flat.....

Nice job.

not a bad run. I still think you should be much faster than that. after all I run 14.20 with my VQ30. thats with a fubar'd clutch.

just giving you a hard time man. nice run. once you get it to hook you should definitely see some good numbers.

did that dude say 15.0 with a 3.5 in a 4th gen auto? im at 15.2 auto with the 3.0, and Xmax has hit 14.8 with his, all with I/Y/E and weight reduction. i sure hope youd hit 15.0 with a 3.5. Good run nismo, your car is bad a$$

No, but probably much better since the 3.5 has gobs of torque that the 3.0 does't. The 6Ms and 4A run about the same in the 1/4 with the 6M being marginally quicker. Some attribute it to the 6M having heavy **** flywheel, but even if so the 3.5 wont run a second lower than its manual counterpart simply because it has torque. Altimas run real close times as well when comparing trannys, they used the 5M from the 4g, and the 4A we have and there still isn;t as much of a difference as tehre was with all 4gs and early 5gs (Auto vs Manual)

wowza...even if he was asleep off the line, it makes it seem faster because of a 'handicap'...so the 14 or whatever he bagged at the end is probly a 3/4 sec lower. siccmade video, me likes.

so wait, why does wheelhop occur at certain times, whereas other times wheelspin occurs?

It has to do with the mounts?

Can someone please shed some light on this for me? Thanks!

Would you say this engine swap is less expensive and more fun than FI?! This by far looks to be the best swap, I know you frequent the NA forum but how much was done to make this engine work?! ECU, etc?! Thanks...

This swap cost a total of about $1200... Alot cheaper than FI IMO, and the times you run are not far off of FI times. BTW, i'm using a stock auto ECU.
