If you live in the northeast or midwest, get a stainless steel y-pipe, not aluminized, if you plan on keeping the car for any length of time.

I've used the Budget for a couple of years. Didn't have any issue with performance or fitting at all.

I think budget is of a bit more solid quality, but that is only my opinion.

A guy just posted today about his new Budget y-pipe. He said it has some of the "bees in the can" sound, but not terribly loud.

All this goes to show is that while Budget and Warpspeed make generally good products, there are bound to be more than a few "duds". A single bad weld can be all the difference between a great pipe and one that buzzes like a swarm of bees.

Let's call this debate OVER! Both companies make stainless steel pipes. However, if you want to go cheaper, you can get the aluminized versions.

Performance: same
Quality: same
Frequency of "duds": same

I believe you are referring to madnut's complaint of yesterday. He resolved his fitment problem yesterday which was his mistake. The Budget y-pipe he installed now has no noise issues whatsoever and is not a "dud".

I'm glad to hear he resolved his issues. Of course, I still stand by the reply. I have heard others with issues regarding both budget and warpspeed. Though overwhelmingly people are pleased with both companies' y-pipes. So as far as I'm concerned: Debate Over

If you look at the poll, you will also see that people are not voting overwhelmingly for either company.

I think the real question to ask is, for those that had problems with their pipe, how willing was Warpspeed/Budget to help you resolve the problems?

I was happy with my SS budget. Can't beat the quality and price! Are they still $160USD shipped?

What's the deal with exhaust part compatibility with the ss budget y? Anything to avoid? Or anything that works best? I'm gonna replace the whole exhaust
