I guess i bought half of a stillen intake off of ebay. The guy selling it said that the velocity ring (adapter, i'm guessing) was missing. I just assumed (you know what happens when you assume) that i could purchase the adapter from stillen, and like a jack wax i waited until after i got it and then stillen said i couldn't buy it separately. What should I do???

er.....

that velocity stack is like a cone that goes from 5 inch to
3 inch smoothly...(ok..sort of...)
I don't know what to quite really do...but maybe you could ask a shop to make you one?...but it is gonna be expensive...
my suggestion would be getting a JWT intake....they are cheap and you will have 2 cones now...just incase you have to clean the other one, you can just slab the clean reserve in
yeah..I'd go buy the JWT intake

See if you can get the HKS adapter

My friend helped me get an HKS adapter and I just attached a K&N cone to it - works great!

Adapter

Get the Lightning Motor Sports one. I have pics of it on my page, you just have to drill your own holes. It's a 3" opening.

The adapter that your talking about isn't the velocity stack adapter. Your talking about the connection piece for the MAF sensor.

For RuMax96, I've read that the velocity stack is design to smooth the air flow into the intake. The smoother the air flow (less resistance) the more air that can flow and the colder it is. So from what I understand, the velocity stack is an important part of the intake. You could hook the filter to the MAF connection piece without the velocity stack, but it won't be as efficient. It will be an improvement over stock. You'll have to find a way of connecting the large filter to the smaller connection piece.

Just save your money and get the CAI. It's great!!
