My parents took delivery of the max in oct of 1994. After my mom bought a I35 last summer, the car was transferred to me. Cars 10.5 years old with 101k and still running strong.

Got my 95 in August of 95. It is an ex-rental car that had 12,800 miles on it. We paid $17,850 for it.

Bought mine new in March of 99... Almost 90K mostly trouble-free miles later, car is still very solid and reliable.

Got mine brand spankin' new in July 95'.
...Even though the headliner is falling down, can't read the radio stations, can't remove the blown/cracked rear speakers and I have no CD player, it still starts every morning, and drives great.
I'd luv to fix it up, but after 127,000 miles, is it worth it?
ps: I don't dare post a pic of it.

oh I forgot, I did upgrade with '96 Max hubcaps...very sharp

You should be smacked on the side of the head a couple of times for allowing a Maxima that you have owned since day 1 fall into such a disgraceful state. Shame on you, have you no pride of ownership?

Have you not seen that well maintained 4th Gen Maximas are running strong at well over 250K. Fix your car.

And post a picture of it. I suspect others will join in on the flaming, lol!

I believe that is record low mileage for a .org member with a Maxima going on 8 years old. How do you manage to keep it so low? I have a 95SE with under 59K. It's not a daily driver and hasn't been used for commuting much and not at all in going on 4 years.

Actually, I offered the car to my daughter. I told her she could "pimp" it anyway she wanted...she graciously said "r u kidding??? no way!" (she took Mom's '03 Altima instead). I was crushed.
Maybe now is the time for ME to pimp my own ride.

That's pretty cheap, given used Maximas are a fair bit more expensive in Canada than in the US even when factoring the exchange in.

How many kilometres on the car and what kind of condition is it in?

I sorta got mine new. My grandfather bought it in 96, gave it to my dad in 98 who gave it to me in 03. Between the two of them, I think the car saw WOT six times in those years. They also neglected maintenance besides oil changes. Needless to say, when I inheirited her, there was a lot of work to be done.

sounds like your grandpa and dad were just as negligent as my brother was on my Max .. I spent at least $3K in the last year just to get my max to like-new due to my brother's neglect, majority of it was maintenance, also new tires and a new windshield this year.

Wow, the 99's had a $2500 rebate, not sure how he could have paid that much. My 98 was high 22's, and the list was 29.4. The discount was high 6000's with rebate. That's why Nissan is scary, you never know how much below invoice you can get the car for. My buddy wants a Titan and on Memorial Day the sticker was in the 36 range. He pays anywhere near that, and he could be crying 7 years from now when he can only get 7 grand for that truck. Poor resale makes it a moving target. Best thing with a Nissan is drive the hardest bargain and literally walk away and never go back. Then go to the 2nd dealer to actually close.

Gotta like those road trips! Well, you have passed me now but you're still in the low-mileage club. I still love to be out on the open road in the Max with the sunroof open and the tunes cranked.

Got this car April 19, 2004 with 64,000 miles on it. Original owner was this meticulous accountant who kept every single service record, the original invoice and everything. Car was clean inside and out.

It's at 87,000 now, since I did a lot of driving to LA this year. Car is still clean, although this paint is horrible. It chips so easily. My hood is all chipped up now from the freeway driving.

Congratulations, I think you win the prize for the lowest mileage 95 Maxima on the .org. My 58,700 miles may be a distant 2nd. I don't understand why you would need to replace both cv axles and boots and belts at only 42K, however. I certainly don't have those problems yet.

well it certainly wasnt the mileage that killed the axles, it was 10 years of rotting rubber

Would winter use and road salt have anything to do with it? My car hasn't been subjected to those conditions and I live at the Coast so the humidity is such that the rubber doesn't get dried right out.

My parents got my max brand new, but I don't remember how many miles on it. I was too young to be interested in car back then (I was 13). I got this car from my parents on January 2003 with odo reading at around 50k miles. Now I driven it for 3 years and I put about 45k miles on it which comes out to be 95k miles. My brother has 98 max completely stock, so whenever I feel like driving a smooth ride, I take my brother's car. but I just love how my max drives. Stock is just no fun at all.

My father bought my 98 SE in 98 for $22k with 4 miles on it. He's a good negotiator. I attained it when it had 120K miles on it back in 2002. It was funny cause when they first got it, I asked them if they can give me the car when they got a new one. My mom said yeah jokingly so when she bought her new maxima I told her "Remember that time you told me you'll give me the car?" She ended up giving it to me that same year.

I bought mine new in Oct. '94. Don't remember the mileage but less than 25 miles. It was the car I drove as I did not want to take something I hadn't driven.

Spent a lot of time negotiating - remember very low 20's.

I have been very happy with the car. 133k miles now.
