Rough Ride year after lowering

I lowered my car with Tein H Techs and GR-2's last summer and was thrilled with the handling and while the ride was stiffer I was wondered why everyone made such a big deal about the rough ride after lowering. I noticed a harsher ride during the winter but figured it was temperature related but now it still seems much harsher than it was. Could some other part of the suspension be worn that could cause a harsher ride? I've already checked tire pressure and that's fine. Also my car has about 60k miles on it.

That just happens to be one of the softest suspension setups out there...

harsh huh? try the s-techs and say "harsh" they are the lowest lowering springs and man they are harsh, but they make the max look real good.

AGX's ride just as bad if not worse then the GR2.

If you want some ride comfort back with adjustability get the Tokico Illuminas. You can probably put a set of Tokico Blues with H-Tech springs as well. That would give you the softest, smoothest ride on a lowered setup.

I've noticed more bumpiness lately also but I'm on Intrax and stock struts, saving up for some illuminas but I also think maybe strut mounts have a hand in it too, there is a little bit of play when I jack the car up from the strut mounts.

Your GR-2's could be worn out. They have a history of doing so, all by themselves. I had a set on my 3rd Gen and they didn't last more than 50K. Added to that is the fact that KYB says they are not meant to be used with lowering springs.

However, folks do it anyway.
