Just did a steering wheel conversion...question

Hey guys, I finally converted my 96SE steering wheel to a 99SE steering wheel (year and color tan to black).

I thought I read somewhere that you had to drill a hole out or make a slight adjustment. I didn't seem to need any adjustment (I had the 99 airbag as well). I did however have to rotate the "spindle" on the steering colum which housed the airbag wires. Basically I rotated it 45 degrees down and the arrows did not line up.

I was just curious if this would cause any problems for me?

Thanks!

I got the steering wheel for like $25 on ebay. The airbag I got so long ago I don't exactly remember but I think not more than $200. Keep in mind I searched long and hard on Ebay and waited for the right deal. I've had these two things for over a year and a half and I just got around to converting (been living in NYC so I didn't need the car). That is a low price for those two things. Just be patient as you look is my best advice.
