well, the detailing forum is dead, but i was wondering what is the best way to clean the door sills and door panels? the plastic parts. anything more than just some and water? i'm putting aluminum door sills on so i need the adhesive to stick as well as possible.

thanks in advance

^^^ hmmm... i've heard that can work on other parts also. i'll try it. anyone else? i really want to get this right the first time. it didn't come with a lot of tape, but i do have some extra double sided tape lying around to help it hold.

lol....dude you should be more clear with your question....theres a difference between cleaning and preparing a surface for adhesive....if your gonna put adhesive on something clean it with windex or rubbing alcohol first, this will strip any elements, grease, dirt, etc. off so the adhesive will stick properly

meh, i have a tan interior, they would look much better on a black, but oh well. i basically got them for something to do and something to make it a little bit more of "my" car. i do love them, though. look great. i may toss a pic up here if anyone is interested and can host it for me. SHADOW got me a great price and a very smooth transaction.

how does magic eraser work differently depending on color?

Glad you got them and like them. The tape is going to be fine, we use the strips because they actually hold better than fully taping the piece like a dash kit. It's because of the ridges on the sills. Plus the tape is thicker, and can conform better.
