i have a S.C and noticing that my belt is wearing AGAIN!!

i have a S.C and noticing that my belt is wearing AGAIN!!

I got a new belt for my s.c and my belt boke before becasue i dont know why but i just put a new one in about 150 miles ago and i am noticing that the edges are wearin out.......... i know this is not normal but what can be causing this? and how offten should i be chaning my belt!

you should post this question in the turbo/supercharged section, but you most likley have an alignment problem.

Your belt is touching the walls of the tensioner pulley. There should be some space clearance or else you get a frayed belt. Which side is the belt touching? Closest to the engine block or away from the block?

What size pulley are you using? And if it is a smaller pulley than stock, did you shave down the mounting plate leg for clearance? Also, make sure the hose clamp on the drain back plate tube isn't touching the belt (rare but possible). What method are you using for adjusting/checking your belt tension? What belt (size/brand) are you using?
