Mmmm, toast...

I have a 95 SE with 166,xxx miles on it and lately its started to really love the oil. I did an oil change today and only about a quart and a half drained out. I always add 4.5 quarts so i didn't expect to see this hapopen...it just started. Anyways, what can be a remedy of this and what does this indicate?! Thanks for the help in advance!

Any oil stains where you park?

No drips what-so-ever, everything is dry/oil free under the car

Do you drive it hard often? My car starts burning oil whenever I go WOT, which is most likely due to the seals around the valves being worn. The fix for my situation would to get my heads cleaned and any worn out parts replaced, I was quoted $100 per head + parts

Did you not check the dipstick periodically following the last oil change? How many miles since the last oil change? What oil have you been using?

Ha ha, yeah, my car definitely doesn't have any spider webs int he engine...it spends a lot of its time doing redline runs. I figured this was the main reason for this.

Of course I checked the dip stick but really didn't think how much was being burnt, it was about 3200 miles since last oil change...I think checking it more often will be a good bandaid for now until everything gets upgraded....damn i hate waiting!

Thanks for the help everyone!

sounds like valve cover gaskets or spark plug tube seals. Pull your spark plugs and look for oil.
