transmission question..

i went to the local nisssan dealer here in miami to inquire about a tranny flush. he quoted me $129.
then i asked him if the filter will also be changed in the tranny. then he said that maximas dont have filters. ive heaRD similar in the past. but i just wanted to know if there is a filter in the transmission to change or not.

my car is due to hit 100k miles in the next month or so and i wanna flush out my transmission.

ur input is greatly appreciated guys

I have been quoted something close to that for a tran. flush, that seems about right,
you might consider having them change the oil at the same time and see if you can get them to come down a little.

As far as the filter you'll want to refer to the good ol' Haynes manual.

based on things i've read, there's a screen you can clean/change when you drop the pan, but there isn't an actual filter. just magnets that collect metal debris.
