WS high flow Cat...clogged?

97SE 137,000- Im guessing the exhaust system is about 1-2 years old, and the owner said it was a WS with Magnaflow muffler. Since I got the car when I go WOT, or near it, I get a strong sulfur smell as if my Cat is clogged or going bad. Are Warpspeed cats known to go out very soon? It looks as if this thing has the stock heatshield on it, but I can't tell if its stock or aftermarket. The rest of the system, including y-pipe, is aftermarket- but I don't understand how this cat would clog that quickly. Should I just chop that piece of **** and put the Test Pipe on?

Thanks,
Tyler-

Lol there are no holes or ruptures of anykind in the exhaust system, I checked this car over 300 times before purchasing.

Thanks for your input though, at least someone attempted.

Thanks

WS cat = magnaflow cat
Aftermarket cats have a bad rep. of failing.
