installing RS type coilovers...got questions

This weekend I will be putting on RS type coilovers http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...sPageName=WDVW

Who has these or something similar? Can you adjust the height while the spring is on the car? Also what are the rubberband/spacers that come with it and where do they go?

I have lowered many maximas but I have never used this sleeve type coilover. Any help is appreciated.

its a damn shame you purchased those. You should know coilovers cost but more than ~$80 shipped. It will ride rought and not feel comfortable, but best way to learn is to feel, so I suggest installing and then ride around and see how they feel.

Honnestly a waste of money.

but you jack up the car and can adjust the height. I'd suggest saving up and purchasing some KSpot coil overs for $780.

I am helping a friend out...I am not putting these on my car. So what are the rubber band/spacers for?

I have D2s....but I am guessing there may be a difference , like I said I am doing this for a friend, and I would appreciate any advice people have for installing this type of sleeve coilover, rather than pointing out they do not cost very much.

Glad you are not putting those on your car, and glad to see a very wise choice for your suspension. I didnt notice the question at the bottom or my thread wouldnt have been entirely criticism.

which rubber sleeve the flat ones in the picture? I assume the coil overscame with no instructions hence the post here?

Also out of curiosity based on your suspension choice I'd assume you know somethings about quality suspension, why did you let your friend purchase those "coil overs"?

I believe they are spacers for strut when it is in the coilover sleeve.

so you would put them on top of the spring? I will be doing this job tomorrow and I am guessing I can figure it out, but I was hoping someone would have put something similar on.

MDeezy,
He has already purchased the springs and he called me to see if I would put them on.

MaximaConvert, yes I am happy with the D2s so far, the install is easy, and they are pretty easy to adjust

Amazing, $80 coilovers compared to the $800 ones...there has to be a BIG difference between the two, no questions asked. I would personally not spend anything under $400 and expect to have a good suspension.
