That's not my car. You don't need to cut anything but a couple brackets behind the headlight.

i agree, but the contrast from green to a black hole and white to a black hole are tremendous, so even if the gap was the same, it looks worse on white. if you look colsely at the white one's pics, it looks like the headlight is sitting on top of the fender, not in it, thats why its so bad. whatever mine will be on my car by the end of july, with no gap because i'll fill it and repaint the entire car.
