How much would you pay for my car?

I'm selling the Maxima soon and moving onto something new. I'm trying to figure out how much I can get for my car. My dad says I can get some kid to buy it for 6500, but I dunno. Here's all my add ons:

1995 Maxima GXE
100,100 miles
Dark Blue paint, paint is perfect, only a few small dings
Tan cloth interior, interior is PERFECT!
Brand new brakes
16" Chrome wheels
Clear corner lights
Tinted windows (20% rear, 35% front)
Pioneer P80MP head unit
Infinity Kappa perfect 6.1 component system
Polk MMC650 rear speakers
2 12" Orion subwoofers
Memphis 500.1 amp
Custom gauges

That's about everything I can think of. If there's anything else you wanna know to help detemine value, let me know.

Some kid might buy it for that much. Auto or 5 speed? What does your area's Kelly Blue Book say?

Take out your system, then list it for 4500. Most people use KBB as a buying guide so unless you have a lot of custom work done that someone would want to pay extra for, I don't see it selling for very much over KBB value.

well if i take out the system, i would leave the speakers and head unit. ill just take the subs unless the person buying wants them. i could list it for like 5000 or something and then ask if the person wants the subs and then just tack on some money and negocaite a little. thanks tho guys.

Don't list it for 5000 when someone will buy it for 6500. include the dang subs for the extra 1500. You have a nice car but that price is not unreasonable at all for 100 thou miles, auto.

Most people are smart enough not to pay the asking price. Ask for $6500 that will leave room for negotiation.

its up to the person whose buying it. i sold my 95 celica which had 128,000 miles for $3800. but the car was in pretty much mint condition. n i bought my 98 i30 with 78,000 miles for $6300...-= ) but i think $6500 is a lil too much. list the car for $5999, so the search will come up for people looking for cars under $6000

..... It's probably slow as a Civic with all that audio and no peformance mods.

I don't believe the car has a sun roof. Is that correct? What do you plan on buying and how far in debt are you prepared to go? What would your dad's opinion be on buying another car if he knew you won't get $6,500 for the car?

Given that you are only 18, and unless money is no object, I would be inclined to keep the car. It's good for years to come and anything else performance-wise is going to cost you a bundle.

You could always spend some money on peformance mods for the car starting with a y-pipe.

I would gladly pay $4,500 for that car. If you plan on selling it, don't sell it on here, there are alot of cheapskates on here that will low ball you. When I sold my 96 a couple weeks ago, the highest offer was $3,200 so I emailed another guy to advise him of the current highest bid, and he replies back, ok I can give you $2,600

Moral, if you plan on getting at least market value, you are better off selling it in an Ad or finding a local buyer.

I honestly do not see how you can get anything close to 5,000 for a car this old. My friend owns a 99 SE-L 5-spd with 81k miles, no leather and Bose, but sunroof is there. Kbb for his car says 7,260 and his max is already 7 years old.

I'm sorry to disappoint you my friend, but you must acknowledge that your car is soon to be 12 years old, sometime at the end of this year. I wish you luck and hope the best - that you do get 5K+ for your car. I'm just saying that is a very unrealistic goal. However, luck does often outweigh "unrealistic".

Many here don't realize just how utterly old our vehicles are by now. Either that or they are in denial that it is that old. Mine is a 97 so soon to be 10 years old. WOW, I just realized how old it is. LOL!

I bought my 98 gxe over a year ago with 76K for $6600. It was mint cond too, so I think 6500 is a bit too high for yours. I would advertise it for 5K and sell for the first 4500 dollar offer.

Between my black leather steering wheel, CD player, Mountain Dew and my girl, I'm already out of hands as it is. I wouldn't be able to drive a stick.

Why don't you keep it? A car this old wouldn't depreciate that fast anymore (at least compared to your future car)....

If I were you, I would save the money... get a better car and use the Maxima as a beater car

How do you like it? Better and faster than auto?

Too bad the designer doesn't have it anymore.... otherwise, I'd have bought it.

I just received it this week. I won't have it installed for a little while. Better than auto? I'd have to say yes (otherwise I wouldn't have spent $350). Faster? In the sense that I can downshift sooner and hold the gear longer, yes. Looking forward to playing with it.

Hold the gear longer? You mean past redline? Unless you have a modified ECU, that won't happen

Sure, why not? We can do that now when manually shifting, can't we? Do you mean for safety reasons?

You should be very happy to get $4500. You are much better off to remove the stero stuff, 95% of the people would not pay an extra dime for it.

Hold the gear longer should be by means depending upon circumstances.... I would personally never go past redline.... why would I? The torque and HP curves are already in steep downslope a.k.a your car runs out of breath

Not with an SC. When I mash the gas, the car doesn't even feel like I have an SC. Then as the rpms rise, the pin against the back of my seat increases exponentially. Just when I get that ear to ear grin , the car shifts and the process starts all over again. So, yes, staying in each gear a little longer will result in more speed.

All the add-on's do not really add that much to the value of the car. Just because you may have some neat stuff on it wont help IMO. I would prob give you about 4,500.
