whats a good way to drop w/o messing up alignment
I just installed the ksports and had the height set the way I wanted it then got it alligned. But now I made some adjustments and want to change the height again. Just want to know if there is a way to do this carefully so an alignment isnt needed again. My friend said I could just outline the part where the coilover bolts to the spindle and line it back up to there when I put the coilovers back on. What do you all think?

If you just don't drop it a lot.....like 1.5" or so....you should not have to mess with the alignment....after that first time, of course. When you change the height on the car, you have to go get another alignment.

how about pay 130 for a lifetiem alignment at firestone and just get 2-3 alignments and get your money's worth throughout your adjustments. Since last year I've had 12 alignments... some of them because I'm bored on a saturday.

my friend's husband is a manager or supervisor at a local firestone. She mentioned something about you signing a contract when you get service from them, and if they discover something else wrong with your car during whatever you're there for, they will fix it at their fee.
I haven't had much any service experience with my car, only got the brake pads replaced and oil changes, but to me it sounds like inviting disaster.
I'd be interested in a lifetime alignment service for that price, but is the aforementioned contract normal at all these places, maybe this goes a bit off topic, I don't know, I might need sleep sometime this week.

I think you have some bad information or are confused. I used to work for firestone and have delt with them for years. There is no such contract. That would be ridiculous for a repair center to have such a thing or for a customer to agree to it.
They try and do some sort of inspection on every vehcile that comes through. But all they do is suggest some additional repairs, this is standard practice in the industry. One, two get more work. Two because there is a certain amount of liability in not informing a customer of a problem. If you took your car in for an alignment and the tech noticed that you were missing 3 lug nuts and said nothing, then a day later your wheel came flying off and your car smashed into on comming traffic there very well could be a jury that would find firestone liable.
Anywho, there is no such contract and no obligation for additional work with the lifetime alignment. But if your car needs new tie rod ends they will certainly try and sell it to you.

yea it's all business. one time i went to firestone about a week after i got my new pads and rotors, and the guy did a "point-by-point check". first thing he says is. whoa buddy your brakes have got to be replaced.
jerk...
but yea.. that's a lotta money saved from the lifetime alignment. this past winter i was so happy i got it.. bumped into many a curb.
