how can i tell if i have an aftermarket y-pipe?

hey when i bought my car the previous owner said that the car had an aftermarket y-pipe and cat but my friends and I compared it to my friends 98 gxe and the exhausts look pretty much the same. I'm gonna jack up that car in prob tmrw and check more thoroughly. Is there any way to tell if my y-pipe is aftermarket? thanx

the 99 would not still have shiny pipes underneath.
I have one and they are not.
Even below average mileage is like 100k miles....too many to have shiny stock pipes.

Anyway, look at the ypipe and see how skinny it is. If it is fat like almost a half a foot around in some points....that is not it....that is the stock one.

Also....look for the pre-cats like previously stated.
