i believe it's in the how-tos. you can either polish it up, or wet sand it up to a mirror-like finish. i'm not totally sure on this myself either. but i htink that it works on the 'valve cover' and the timing case, or whatever you want.
but check how-tos

NAh I bought cause it was the same Injen setup.. I got it from ebay, there
always selling them I'll leave a link. When I bought it was a Vertex Racing C.A.I..
I like the Injen C.A.I. cause I honestly feel a better power of the launch
then a Place Racing C.A.I.. I know this cause I got to drive a 4th gen max
with the P.R. and it didnt feel as good as my max.http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...category=38634
Its a decent buy. I felt a lil difference but its no Injen.. The filter that came
with it is shyty.. I just got it cause its cheap and I wanted a lil roar..

Its a simple but very long task to do. I have polished up my entire mevi, front valve cover, side timing chain cover, brake lines and power steering lines. The lines that are visible and not under the car. Valve cover and timing chain cover are very easy. The manifold will take you a while.

This ran me $275. There is no point in doing it yourself. You'll never be satisfied.

For the intake manifold, expect anywhere from $300 to $500 for the polishing. Valve cover range from $100 to $200 for the polishing. I can R&R a valve cover in 15 mins. Intake manifold takes about 2 hours+.

It was good until they made it illegal in VA on the street last year. I have a supercharger that I'm plan on installing.

It's a universal 6 cylinders kit. It's called the sportsman fogger kit on NOS website. You just have to bend the lines which is not hard.

Do you have any pics, I have yet to see the chain sproket cover polished.
Im sure it would look alot better if all 3 parts where polished seein as to how
the chain sproket cover sits next the valve cover.

Damn I love it, so you got it done proffesionally or you DIY???
Either way it came out GREAT.. Im might go with my mechanic he priced the
Valve Cover at 150$ and I have yet to get a price for the Intake manifold.
I wont spend more then 300$ on the Manifold so if I cant do both I probably
wont do it at all.
