I'm looking for the Maxima letters logo from the trunk, in black to mount on my dash. Is this logo a dealer part? Is it even avalible in black?

go to a dealership....i work at an infiniti dealership and i just bought mine today at employee discount for $11 which i believe is around 50% off so it can't be more than $25 at a Nissan dealership and its in perfect condition. Oh yeah I got the maxima logo from a 5th gen because its a little different then the 4th gen and its graphite in color.

 

yea, go with 5th gen emblems, they are way sexier

 

What would possess you to want to put the lettering on your dash? Are you entering a ricer contest?

 

go to nissan and pick up some "nismo" stickers to, they come in balck and white!

Actually that part of the dash doesn't move if the airbag deploys... I thought of the same thing when I first saw it, but then realized that the airbag actually deploys from above there. Regardless, the whole emblem inside the car is a little

very... but what if it scrapes and rips the airbag (since it comes up and then goes down while it inflates)

the emblems are not swiss army knifes, they have rounded edges, they won't affect the airbag
