Look at the specs... the ratios in all 5 gears is practically the same. Hell, 2nd and 3rd are exactly the same.

No. That's not what people mean by the tranny having a stronger third gear. It's that the gear -synchro- IIRC (or something to that nature) is stronger than the one in the fourth gen.

Oh... well forget about what I said then. I guess this just some interesting info regardless.

Yea, they are almost identical except for the AE's LSD and the 3rd and 5th gears being mechanically stronger.
