Matty u out there?
yas im here..I have my manifold off, my injectors changed and my rear valve cover off...all of it will be going back together on Fri when im able to borrow a torque wrench from my buddy..

Im gonna pick away at the EGR guide tube alittle bit before I put it all back togehter.

I sprayed alittle bit of TB cleaner down onto the valves via the lower manifold..was that a smart idea or no ??

It's an extra $25 per valve cover, so total of $50 extra. You must have read my post before I edited that to make it clear.

Just the Grommets that go around the valve cover are about $30.

$2.98 a peice X 10...

Once Im done with the rear gasket, im gonna order the stuff for the front and do that as well...it seems to be leaking just a little bit out the right side

Exactly - 30 bucks for the grommets, 3 bucks a piece for the spark plug seals (3 of those) and 10 bucks for the main valve cover seal =~ 50 bucks per valve cover.

On a side note, do the VQ35s still have a traditional egr system w/ an egr valve and plumbing? Excuse my ignorance, but I was under the impression that since the VQ's gained vvt on the intake side, exhaust gas recirculation was controlled by regulating the intake valve overlap. Am I clueless?
As I am not yet a donating member (due to temp. financial issues), the search feature is unavailable to me and using google to search for the answers on here in the past has proven quite counterproductive, so please no flames ok?

Your local dealer (this is not meant to be sarcastic), will do it for ~$250. That is what I was quoted.

It really isnt that hard its just time consuming. The price for some gaskets and grommets is nothing compaired to the price of one injector.

I recently did everything mentioned above (gaskets, cleaning and such) while I was replacing one of my injectors, I destroyed another one trying to take it out, so that was two new ones, so my wise grandfather said might as well do one more while I'm in there and not worry about future problems with that one old one.

Here are my tips from my experience:

1. buy all your **** first!!!!!!!!!! buy a couple bottles of intake/TB cleaner (if you have high miles your gonna need two!) high temp gasket sealer, ALL gaskets they're not that much don't be cheap, Im a poor bastard and I still did it.

2. Use a crowbar to lift out injectors. (if replacing injectors) Use vise grips as a last resort. If you place the lip of the crowbar right under the plastic connection on the injector there is a little lip there,if you are gentle you can pop it out with ease.

3. Make sure you have plenty of time to do this, I had to do it in between work and sleep. It took me a couple of days, which sucks.

I know there is more but I'm at work so gotta go
