painting

My hood's clearcoat (and i believe some of the base coat) is beginning to be sun burned and peeling. I was going for a paint job and decided on house of kolor black sparkle pearl base paint. For those of you who have had experience wit painting...do you know how many gallons id need to paint the entire car (not including the door jams and wat not) just the exterior. Also, if i was to add pearl, how many quarts/gallons of that would i need. This is if i was to strip the entire car of paint and repaint from scratch/primer.

Why not ask your bodyman since he should know how much paint it should take to paint your car.

Do they have telephones where you live? And if he is your bodyman, he's already seen the car, duh!

do you have a reason for talking so much .**** if you dont have anything to contribute to the thread then shut the f.uck up.

by the way as far as your paint goes have you thought of having it wet sanded and polished.

I made a contribution already. I suggested he talk to the bodyman who could advise him what to do. It makes more sense than asking a bunch of people who have never seen his car.

Secondly, why don't you take it to an auto detailer and get their opinion?

It strikes me that a paint job that would normally retail at $2000 or $3000 is worth a couple of 45-minute drives to your so-called bodyman.
