Hey, what's the best way to clean out a regular K&N air filter? It's not necessary to buy that recharge kit or whatever every time is it?

 

dont have a K&N but I thought you just clean with hose and some kind of solution and oil properly and replace

 

I dont have one, but i found the cleaning kit for $14, i would just do that and do it right.

its an motorcycle/atv site, but it says it recharges any k&n. But they have a $15 dollar minumum, sure you could find it elsewhere.

 

just use degreaser and let it sit for like 5 min then hose it down let it dry and ur ready 2 go

 

I got a recharge kit from autozone today and I just clean a while ago. Now I have to wait for it to dry first. What's the proper way to oil the filter? Should I oil the side where the air will go thru or oil both side?

if u clean it with a hose and dont oil it it ruins the filter...buy the recharge kit
