Ingnition guidance

I've been having some trouble with the ignition on my '97 Maxima SE (AT). I usually have to turn the key and push very hard and fast to get the car started, and sometimes, it doesn't work until the 3rd or 4th try. Based on this, can anyone advise me whether I'd have to replace the entire "Ignition Lock Assembly" or just the "Ignition Switch?"

Thanks for your help.

Most likely just the ignition switch... its cheap and easy to replace, try that first. Check the stickies for instructions. The part is 30 bucks from your dealer.
