Cleaning A/C coils. DIY?

My stealership advertises a service wherein they clean the interior A/C coils, advising this makes the A/C more efficient by eliminating years of dust that have built up, and potentially eliminating any mold that has grown in that dark wet place. Their price is $150 for this service, which seems outrageous, because they only squirt some foamy soap into the box that contains the coils, then let it evaporate off.

My car now has 162k miles on it, and I've got it stuck in my head that I want to clean these coils. Is there any do-it-yourself kit for this type of thing? Are the interior coils easy to access? My FSM shows those coils to the left of the blower motor under the dash. Has anyone else done this, and is it worth it?

As far as I can tell, there is no air filter on the intake.

Use common sense, think it over.
