EVAP control system

So I got a engine check light on. I checked the ecu and it spit out code 0111
I searched through the sticky as well as my bible (Haynes manual). There isn't mush info on a how-to. I look under the car and didn't see any cracks, leaks, or loose wiring. Has anyone had to do this? Any info would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

Thats the EVAP jackpot code - as you have already found out. Are you sure no other code was shown (they will blink out one after another)?

did you check the black round plastic evap valve under your strut bar? (assuming you have one)

If I could only be this lucky in Vegas. I did get another code 0304 (Knock sensor). I replaced the KS and reset the ecu. It came back about 3 days there after. thanks

I hate to tell you this, but the KS code might have only shown up because of the EVAP code... as a rule of thumb (for the future), if you ever pull multiple codes, and one is 0304 for the KS, fix all the other codes and reset the ECU. If the KS comes back (on its own) then you know you have a bad KS for sure.

Did you see kormax's post about checking the purge valve to make sure it hasn't cracked ... if you have an FSTB - this is a common problem.

NICE... $$$ down the tube.
Do you know if this cause low idling? Mine is idling at 400 RPM. This started hapening as well. Haynes mentions this but my friend disagrees.

my idle was lower while the evap code was up and after it was fixed my idle went back up so i guess it has to do something with it.

also, if you ever pull up more than one code, take them down, reset the ecu and then drive til the first one pops up. it'll usually start with one which will tell you which to fix first. thats how my mech does it and i just did it with this exact problem, but i did the above and after the reset, only the 0111 came up. so the 0304 is prolly a result of the 0111.
