good idea. he is awful quick to raise that BS flag. I think I'll take pics of both n/a and nitrous timeslips I have and show both of them to him.

I'm not remotely interested in any nitrous timeslips. I was simply echoing the pessimism expressed on your cardomain site, particularly since 14.4 is now 14.2. Do I hear 14.0?

In my opinion, I say you just race him with what you have. Chances are, even with all of your new mods, it will still be difficult to beat him. And more importantly, you shouldn't be ashamed of getting beaten by a car that has a 3.5 Liter engine rather than a 3.0 like your's, a car that's 6 years newer than your's, a car that has an extra gear than yours, or a car that has over 40 more hp and tq than your's. And if he starts talkin **** after beating you, remind him that his car is a lot more powerful than yours, and that's the truth, not an excuse. Good Luck.

I agreed with balla or anybody else who said about the same thing. Do your best, if you can keep up, he'll be surprised. If you lose, it's logic. Do your best! Let us know what's the update.

First off I really appreciate everyones opinion and tips on what mods to go
with.. For a while I was starting to consider N20 but Ive come back to my
sences.. Its not a bad Idea but like some of you said Im not bout to spend
5-600 dollars just for one race then getting addicted to spraying and ruining
my heads.. I'll just race him and see how bad he beats me then when Im
ready to go again after adding some more mods I'll run him again.. Im gonna
look into gettin a VI swap maybe the 00vi if the fabricating isnt too drastic.
He's like a brother to me so we are some what competitve thats why this
race was put out but bottem line is Im happy he got him self an altime se-r
and I know I cant beat him... but some day I will.. In my 4th gen NA max,
then Im getting supercharged..

Id also like a run or two as well against the Altima.

If your seriously considering the VI, might wish to go with the 00VI. Its going to be easier to come by then the MEVI and its better in the low end.
Its not a direct bolt on, but lucky for us Austin guys we have Stephen Max who could do the install for ya.
He has plenty of experience with it.
Also, be aware it takes JWT a month and a half to 2 months to complete an ECU. Maybe longer if they have a lot at that time.
I'll definitly let you know when this goes down.. As a matter of fact if my car
gets out the shop tommorrow I give you and dubbya a call to see if yall wanna
meet up saturday.
I would love to see you race him, Im sure you could pull him, but youll run him
after me that way if I, excuse me when I lose you could run him ..

I beleive you.. In my 97 black max I was beating cars that where runnin
high to mid 14's with a Injen CAI, Greddy SP, and an ACT clutch.. I was
runnin like a 14.6 or 14.5.. SO yeah thats why I was saying I dont think all
4th gen Maxima's in the 14s have F.I. or VI swap w/ raised revv limiter..

Unless you have a spare supercharger or turbocharger sitting around that you can throw into your car, the end result won't be to your liking.

See I knew it could be done... You just need to know how to drive and know
your shift points.. and I know both very well.. On the street I luanch at 2800
or 3000 and shift at 6300 rpm... At the track I luanch at 3500 cause the
the pavement is too sticky witch causes my street tires to bounce and almost
makes me stall out.. I used shift right before redline like at 6450 but that was
just to far into the power band... MAD props on your 1/4 mile time.
