Just a quick question - I'd like to avoid cooking the tails in order to paint the inside of the all clears I just recieved. I was just wondering if you guys painted the outside of the tails with the testor's paint and clear coat, or the inside?

becareful of the amount that you spray. when i did my stock light i messed up on the first one cause i sprayed too much and it was just to dark but when i did the other side i learned from my mistakes. take your time on these and have a wet rag ready incase you mess up so you can quickly wipe off the tails. i did the outside but ask around on different options of where to paint. and the paint i got was from advance auto i just saw the color that i was looking for and sprayed alittle bit on the floor to see how it would look.

No one has any other feedback on painting all clear tails to match the inner tails?

 

definately paint the inside! i had old ones that were outside and it never matched fully and looked so dumb and i hated it...sold those. new one, yes one, i have (until i get the other side soon)...i painted it on the inside and it matches perfectly with the stock inners.


did you guys remove the top clear plastic piece that makes it look more white? i left it out so far and it seems to match better so i think i might do the other side like that too. i just hope it doesn't let the light leak into the wrong parts.
