pacesetter STS?!? Help!

is there anyway of adjusting the height of this when it is already installed??? after taking apart my dash i realized

1. i found the littl black thing that holds the shift boot up pushed all the way down.

2. there is still about 2 inches of thread that i can bring down to shorten the throw even more??

now how can i do this in the easiest way possible?

You pretty much have to take the whole thing out again.

Wait, don't you have to bring the shifter up to have the shortest throws? That way the plastic, adjuster ball is the closest to the shift rods meaning shorter throws. Threads on top means the throws are short, threads on the bottom means the throws are longer.

Thats exactly right, when you have the ball all the way down and there are threads above the ball you are shorter but when you have threads below the ball you have a longer throw the only thing is the longer the throw the lower you shifter gets, so really you have to play with it to find the optimal position for you. I have mine set with about 1.5" of threads below the ball. So hope that helps some.
