Projector retrofit questions

I'm wanting to improve my current lighting situ, I did the 9007 conversion and I don't notice much improvement in the height of the beam between low and high beams, the lights just get brighter.

So I'm thinking of retrofitting some projectors to fit in the stock headlight housing and I've got some questions for those of you who have experience with this.

How can I tell if a projector can support low and high beams, like those kind That flip up, How do they do this, and where can I find them?

I found these on ebay

Would it be better to try to fit two lights (one low, one high) like these BMW lights

I could easily make a platic mounting bracket to mount the projectors to the headlight housing at work, so that i'm not conserned about.

I see that those BMW lights use H1 bulbs, I don't believe those are HID are they? I can't really afford an entire HID kit, I'd rather just mount some high powered fogs in my bumper than $300+ for HID headlights.

if anyone has any links to this info please post them

any info would be greatly appreciated , thanks guys

I've done a retrofit in my 98 max. I found that the easiest projector to retro is the RS6 bi-xenon.

Dont try to retro two projectors into the headlight. Its not worth it. Just buy a projector with the bixenon mechanism in it already. If you need help just let me know. Also you need to make a custom wire harness. Its not hard to do and will ensure reliable operation.

cool thanks guys,
are there any low and high beam projectors that just use Halogen bulbs?
or do i need to pay for bi-xenon or HID upgrade.

I already have upgraded harnesses and wire with new relays and fuses and everything, but I know I'll need to drop at least $250 for an HID kit.

if you're going to do a retro-fit, please go with HIDs or you will hate yourself for doing all the work for not much difference.
