Lazy auto shift when cold

When my auto is cold the 2 to 3 shift is terrible at anything less that full throttle. It slips out of second and slips into third. 1 to 2 shift is fine. Eventually I will get to the valve body mod.

I understand that there is a temp switch for the fluid in the tranny.

It shifts great when warm and hot.

I got the car this spring and it was much worse then when it was 50 degrees out. It's ok now but I fear this winter I could really be in for some clutch burning.

BTW I changd the fluid when I got the car with wal mart crap and ran that for 2 weeks to clean it out. I then changed the fluid to Mobil 1.

What's your point? I don't see any questions. Get a 5speed if you don't like the shifts.

Sorry...

My point is...

is it possible that the tranny's fluid perssure is reduced (by the computer) when the tranny is cold or is it a result of the fluid being thicker when cold.

Also, has anyone else experienced the same?

I have read plenty on the org about the tranny shifting hard when cold, but never soft when cold.

Maybe time to think about a transmission flush at a reputable place. I'm not sure what Walmart uses. Or just get the good stuff from nissan.
