Window Tinting

Does anyone know any good and cheap places to get tints in Brooklyn?

Curious, but what level of tint are you getting?

I want to tint, too, but I think NY law says 70% light transmission is needed and I'm not sure that the tint would be very noticeable at that level.

70% tint would be a complete waste of money. Even 50% you can barely tell. If you want it to do something, 35-20% is what you need. I'm planning on getting 20 or 25, though ohio law says 45.

Yeah, I've never actually seen a 70%-tint-job, or maybe I have and couldn't tell! Well, I guess that leaves me with zero-tint or breaking the law. I guess I'll have to gauge how low I want to go. 20% and I'm asking for a ticket. 45 or 50% and I'll probably have no trouble, but that still leaves the "is it worth it" question...

Thanks for the opinion

70% tint would look like it came from the factory..50% u can barely tell its there..i put 30% on mine all around and you can tell its tinted but its not real dark so cops wont really bother you unless theyre in a bad mood..depending on the color of the car i would either go with 30% for a dark color car or 20% for a light colored car

Yeah, I've got a dark colored car. Thanks for the opinion. Maybe I'll set my sights at 35%. Sounds like that should keep me under the cops' radar (unless I get a cop in a bad mood like you said!)
