I was wondering if the AC components for 97 is different from the 96 maximas because when i took my car to get the compressor changed they said that the lines don't fit right. My new compressor is off of a 96 and I have a 97.

they are different im sure.....i bought a evaporator recently and it was listed for 95-96 so they changed it for 97-up and probably the compressor too

 

There are two different compressors. Nissan changed the compressor on MY96 on build dates after 6/1996.
