can I30 motor fit in the max

can I30 motor fit in the max

my neighbor has a I30 motor that he took out his car it was rear ended and said he would sell it to me. will it fit and is there anything i would have to change to make it fit or work. he has 62,000 miles on it and i have 140,000 on mine. i have a 96 se.

They are both the same engine so it shouldn't matter

Yes, it's the same engine with a different engine cover. What's wrong with your engine? Mine is 10 years old, has 229k, and still sees 7000 RPM daily and gets 27mpg weekly w/o consuming oil ...

not a thing but for 250.00 why not. i can keep it for a spare if mine goes but i wanted to know before i brought it

$250 is good, but i would rather go 3.5

Of course .. who wouldn't want a 3.5 instead ... but it's a steal if it's in good shape with that many miles. I barely found an intake manifold from a junkyard for $220... so that's in contrast.

I'd rather have the new Porsche 911 Turbo but for $250, that ain't happening.

buy it tare it down and build the **** out of it.....just think with it out of the car u can drop some 3.5 cams it in....pu some headers on do a valve job and port and polish and u dont have to worry about labor costs of removing the parts or ur car being down

boostedmax did it...but i think he sold his car..dunno if he did..but im sure he turboed that vq...

dont see why it wont work.

since u have the time...u can do the 3.2 swap...
