How do you know when your clutch is going to go?
I have noticed a difference in my clutch grab and where it does in the pedal. It seams to be a lot deeper then usual and shifting is getting extremely notchy. It seams like i have to use force to get it into gear.

My 1st 2nd and 3rd gear are shaky around 1000 rpms to 3000 rpms can this be my axle?

If you clutch is slipping, thats the obvious sign its starting to go. you can adjust the grab point on the clutch to the proper location. If you have to use force to get into gear, you throw out bearing could be failing, need a transmission flush, or clutch again could be going?
is it 1st gear you're having trouble getting into? or all?

1st gear is pretty rough. the other gears seam notchy. i had new tranny fluid put in it when i got my passenger axle fixed (few months ago) so im pretty sure i dont need a flush. and i do have the "rollerskating" sound when idleing and clutch engaged but once i push the clutch pedal in it goes away but returns when engaged.
my throwout bearing was bad on my sentra. it was hard to get into gear and if i had in gear with the clutch pedal down, it didnt feel like the car was completely in nuetral. the gear would grab a little and move the car up.
to test for slippage, at a stop put the car in 4th, hand brake up, and slowly let go of the clutch. If it dies immediately then you still hvae some grip left, the longer it takes to stall the worst condition the clutch is in, if the car is still running after depressing fully then u better run to the mechanic!
Sounds like throw out bearing, while you're in there might as well replace the clutch anyway. This thread should help for parts:

If you have pressure, it's not your slave, still bettin it's your throw out bearing. Sounds like your clutch is toast now anyways, go 5th gen route haven't heard any negatives yet, unless you're going to boost
im thinkin 5th gen with the fidanza is that a good set up? I dont understand why the 5th gen is such a good clutch and I am wondering if my mechanic will allow me to give him a 5th gen clutch parts to put on..

I don't have a 5th gen set up as I don't need a clutch but when or if I do... seems I'll go that way!
I had to have my slave and master cylinder replaced last week and I noticed that it seems to be more difficult to shift gears after the repair. I get that notchy feel that Zipp028 described and I have to mash the clutch pedal into the floor to get it to shift. I don't think it was that bad before I got it fixed. So is it my throwout bearing going bad or did they not fix it right? The mechanic told that he thought the clutch would have to replaced in 10 to 15 thousand miles. I don't buy that explanation though.
Original clutch, 96SE, 140 thousand miles, and I don't drive it that hard.

well i bought a 5th gen clutch and a fidanza flywheel i hope this set up is going to be good. The problem with my transmission was my master cyl leaked and that casued it to break. i Noticed noises and vibration at lower gears such as 1st 2nd and 3rd. I replaced my clutch seeing i have 130k it sounds like the time to do so. how much does a used/new tranny job cost? i wish i had my own grage to do it my self its like im start to mech school (on monday) for nothing haha..
