Everytime I open the hood to get access to the engine compartment, the first thing I see is my ugly scratched up engine cover. I finally did something about it today. Since I really like the graphite look, I went ahead and shot the entire engine cover with it. I did think of taping off the black bar in the middle where it says "V6 3000 twin-cam 24 valve" but I figured that there wouldn't be much of a contrast between black and graphite. I want more ideas which is why I want to see what you guys did. Anyhow, it was a quick paint job so here it is.

 

That's a spark plug cover, 4th gens don't have engine covers. Mine is painted flat black with the lettering left unpainted.

 

i painted mine metallic blue, with the NISSAN lettering in school bus yellow. It was a spare cover, so i still have my stock one that i want to paint black.

 

Then what is this?

 

a big error on custom maximas part...that doesnt cover the engine, it covers the spark plug, even with that thing on, our engine is still uncovered

 

How did you paint the NISSAN lettering?? Did you tape off the surrounding areas? How did you cover the little dot on the A?
