So My alternator took a dump or is taking a dump the typical battery/blake right combo.....my ? is i see ones for the Hitatchi System on auto parts website....what is the difference between regualr and hitatchi system and can i use one because it looks like it has 15 more amps than the regular SE system....

 

From what I've read, Nissan used two different alternators in our cars, depending on year and model. Both were pretty close in what they were rated, and both seem to be the exact same size, so they should be interchangeable.

 

the SE alternators have around 10 amps more power, why? No clue
