code P0133 => 0409...wat is it??
been getting this code with the autozone scanner, P0133 which converts to 0409 from the ECU sticky thread, but the thread doesn't say what the 0409 is
the scanner said its the front O2 sensor, and the autozone guy said it was the one on the left....so i changed out the sensor and put a new one i got from the GD..i got autozone to reset it for me but after a few days, the code pops bak up again
anyone knows what else i should do? inspection time is here

Haynes manual:
P0133, flashing 0409 : Upstream oxygen sensor slow response fault (RIGHT bank)
BTW, don't pay a guy from autozone only to plug the scanner and get the codes out. Get acces to the ecm just beside the gas pedal, under a plastic plate. On the side of the ecm, theres a flat head screw. Turn it fully clockwise, wait at least 2 secs, and turn it fully counterclockwise. The check engine light will now flash codes. The number of long flashes represent first two number of code (in your case 04) and the fast short flashes are for the last two numbers of code (...09). To erase them, while you are in the flashing codes process, turn the screw fully clockwise, wait 2 secs and turn it fully counterclockwise. If you get new codes, post them on the forum or buy a haynes manual to know what they are (i think they may even be in the user's manual).

Right bank is the one closest to the firewall - so you might have swapped the wrong O2 sensor. If you still have the one you pulled, swap that in for the O2 sensor that is really bad (the one on the y-pipe closest to the firewall).

Thanks. but geez. why do the 99's have to be so "special" ? i have one more o2 sensor than fedspecs correct? i'm wondering if that's the one that went bad. I have a sensor visible from the engine bay. damnit i'll just take a pic tomorrow.
