Lost a Lug Nut B/C garage stripped threads!!

I just got my tires rotated on Monday sometime early afternoon a a tire business. After it was done, I had to go to work and didn't think anything of it. However, today I got the day off from work and began installing my suspension when I realize that on the front right wheel (pass. side), I'm missing a lug nut! strange ... I proceed to take off the rest of the nuts and the tire and look at the lug where the nut was missing and see that about three threads are stripped about halfway in!

Do I have enough evidence to take it back and declare them at fault? (I hadn't touched the wheels until this afternoon when I saw the nut was missing.) Is it safe to drive with 4 lug nuts on? Should I guy a lug bolt and install it myself, or do you need a special tool to drive it into the rotor?

thanks for any help.

4 is safe enough....

good luck trying to get them to fix it though seeing "you left their lot" without complaint... it's worth a shot.

Replacing the stud yourself isnt too hard if worse comes to worst.

depending on how respectful of a shop they are, they might fix it for you. Chances are you'll have to replace the stud on your own, or they'll try to charge you a "discoutned" price to fix.
