Ignition

I replaced my ignition switch following the How-To threads. Might want to add 10mm bolt on back metal plate, and to take the back screw off you need a very short phillips. All that work and I still have the same problem..

Turn key to turn car on, and the lights light up on the dashboard like ready mode, Radio and everything turns on, but the car will not turnover it wont have attempt to start. Turn key back to off and than turn to start position again and it starts no problem.

Need some TA (technical advise).

Did you replace the ignition relay?
The other possibility is a bad starter - there was one for sale for 50 bucks in the classifieds section.

Can you post that HOW-TO thread. I couldnt find it. I just like to know where the switch located. I am having a minor issue with starting my car. Sometimes when I turn the key it delays for a split second and then start. but other time it starts just when the key turns. So I think I just gonna check out the ignition switch. Thanks

How to Change Ignition Switch:
http://forums.maxima.org/showthread...ignition+switch

No click when I turn it the first time. I turn it to start and the lights on the dash light up and that is it. I turn it back and to start again and it starts with no hesitation. I hear no clicking, no delay....Also if I get back in the car an hour or 2 later it starts up with no problem...Not sure what to do.
