P285/40ZR17 Tire & 17x9 Rims Fit?
Hi, I am about to buy this tires and rims set from this guy, but I am not sure if it'll fit my 98 Maxima GXE.
Tires: P285/40ZR17
Rims: 17x9
I tried the calculator here, it's reporting that if my speedometor reads 60 MPH, I am actually going 61.1 MPH. Will that damage/wear the engine in the long run?
Sorry if I sound like a n00b, but that's cuz I am. Any feedback will be appreciated, TIA!

is that 285/4017 and is two eighty five?? thats is too wide. you can't run those on your max. You will rub. DEF not worth it since you will have to get new tires. Unless they're cheap then i'd say get them. The only alternative would be buy those tires, have someone unmount them, and sell them on e-bay. but i don't believe that you should go above 245/45/17. Are those wanli tires?? becaus they look like they are. BTW if they are wanli tires, don't even bother getting them. They're dirt cheap on e-bay
Thanks for the inputs. The seller said they are Yokohama tires, but the front ones are all worn so I'll need to replace those, the rear ones have about 50% left. He only wants $400 for everything, so I think that's a pretty good deal, but if the rims are too wide, I don't know if I should get them. By using 2-3" spacers, will the wheels will be sticking out? That would look ugly.
a 17x9 will fit..... what is the offset???? if they are +24 they will fit but stick out 1/2+ inch in the front. As for the 285s they should never have been mounted on a 9" rim anyway. 255/40 would be a better fit. Look at my pics under my signature.. dark wheels are 17x9 +34 with 255/40/17 front stick out a few mm ... other pics of 275/40 rear 255/40 front (wheels from my Z32)
