little help installing VOLT METER GAUGE


just got this VOLT METER gauge and i been searching through the org on how to install this lil $h!t and im hoping u guys can give me a lil hand! here's what it looks like from the back to give u guys an idea. the weird thing is it didnt come wit an instruction. please help!!

I think you just need to hook it up to any power source. I would try the fuse box first so you don't have to cut any wires. Good luck!

Whoa

You can just connect that straight to a power source. I would think you have to connect it straight to the battery...???

yea it has a total of 5 wires to hook up!

yea, plus those 2 lil posts on the bottom u have to put wires on them..

The picture you posted looks kinda blurry, if you can find a name on it at all do a google search for instructions on it. With all those wires and terminals I'm guessing red is postive (battery) orange is illumination (parking lights or orange wire in the dash) and black is negative. It is possible the two post are for monitoring additional voltage sources. Like I said though, the picture is blurry so we can't really tell what they are.

bcoz i called the company to find out wtf and they told me and i have to hook up some wires to those 2 posts and they just kept talkin and talkin and talkin till i lost em..so i was like ok watever, thanks. so, yea!

black = ground, orange = ignition (top left wire input on plug of your cruise control or any other "ignition" source) , Red = constant power, red and orange maybe vice versa. Other posts could be for the light inside gauge if you want these to dim with you dimmer run both + and - to the dimmer switch + to top left of plug and - to next top one (middle) or vice versa check with a light tester, sorry this is the best I can do with the supplied info and blurry pic. Good luck hoipe this gets you on your way

yea tanx MAXRB8 ahma try that today after i change my oil. ur explanation makes more sense and sorry for the pic my phone cam sucks but tanx again ill post pics once i figure out.
