Just Crashed! (Pics)

Well, yeah at 2AM I was taking my girl back to her house and a light changes from green to yellow, i think that i have enought time to take it, but this guy coming from the side, takes off as soon as i get the yellow, and Booommm. Nobody got hurt majorly, I have the seat belt mark, so does my girl, the guy "dislocated his shoulder"... his car is probably going to be totaled. a 92 Mitsubithi Expo, and my car....

well now i'll get that new grille and probably do something with those lights and corner lights

I was thinking something like http://redlinemax.com/catalog/produc...b222613b3fd6f5

One Piece Headlights

Please comment on the headlights and grill since im not that sure about it, specially the headlights

I would think that it would be the Mitsubishi's fault. According to this statement, he didnt have green yet, technically crossing the street on RED.

Looks like someone fat sat on your car, doesn't have the sharp edges like other accidents. Its like roundish.

Well at least there "SHOULDN'T" be any structural damages to the frame...So consider it lucky that all you need a grille...

I was out there right now, taking a closer look...left fender is out, so is the hood, front bumper, left headlight, corner light...the radiator is loose so as the fans, the front support bar is bended and the passanger door when open scratches the fender which was pushed back. Other than that the car is good, it had no battery so i went ahead and charged it, and started that puppy, I was able to move it a side, lets wait until monday see what happens.
meanwhile anyone has any idea where i could the one piece headlight other than ebay?
Thanks

I am trying to get in the habit of not running lights or trying 2 make lights...had a few close encounters where the other cars took off before green.

Sorry about your car

I'm glad you didn't get hurt. Seeing how flimsy the maxima front end is, the damages could have been way worse. Did the airbags deploy?

I don't know about other states but in California, you should be getting ready to stop when the green changes to yellow. Of course, not everyone does that. But if you start getting in the habit of doing that, then you'll be a more defensive driver. You can't really control what the other drivers are going to do so defensive driving is your best move out there. Good luck to everything.

well, these miami drivers like to get a head start on the green, they watch for the yellow on the cross traffic and time it. wen im at a red, cars already start honking wen they think the greens coming...some lights only stay green for a few seconds literally and they try to make as many cars as they can fit through, most running the red light. but yeh....i hate miami drivers, the ones that are in a rush that is

Well arent we all in a rush? I mean all young drivers like me for example are always in a rush, chicago isnt anything different. Road maniacs are everywhere i have been, especially on the south side of chicago. I m glad nothing happened to you, and your girl, I would personally beat that mother ******* ***, and make him pay for the damage, good luck!

Man, I can't stant people like that. I had people do that to me, but i was lucky. I just stop the car, get out and go over to the driver and give them a few words of exchange...then i call the cops and report them. People like that not need to be on the road. That's where the insurance rates go up.
