They stole my.............

Its friday night at 11pm and my car was fine, but by morning they stole my CLEAR BUMBER LENS. man I was so pist and they broke them off which is the worst part, so I dont know how they will put it on any other MAx.

Anyway I guess it happened to alot of you guys already. I just got to deal with it. I guess i'll get diamond cut lenses. Does anyone know where I can get some?

Does anyone know any anti theft trick to avoid it again.? I thought I saw a thread on it.

Thanks guys

I think I heard people talking about putting a wing nut or some kind of nut on the other side of the lense (behind it) so you would have to take out the nut before you remove the lense

someone got me like that one morning as i came out to warm up the car. they just left my wires and bulb hanging out front. do not glue it or put a screw else where cause if you do if they try to do it again and they have a hard time they might mess yo sh*t up trying to take it off. just park it in a better location. its a cheap piece so i wasn't really that mad after a couple of hours it was just the fact that they did that shi* that got me pissed.

Ebay's a good spot as long as the seller is reputable. That whole "stealing bumper lenses" thing is new to me.. That's crazy.

Seems to happen a lot in the city..

My brother's bumper lights got ripped off while parked in Queens a year or two ago.

Not really worth securing them and having a PO'd thief mess up your car though.

Ya like if you secure it too much...they'd just end up trashing your car. Let's pretend it's charity that we're doing...we're putting drugs on the table for them...WAIT! Thats no charity! :S

I don't understand this.........bumper lenses are cheap, why would anyone try to steal them. They can get a pair for less than $20.

Where can I get some lenses?

Alright, here's my question then, can someone point me to a place where I can buy a clear-lens kit for my car? I have zero mods on it. I'm about to slap some 18's on it, get a nice tint and strobe it up (offroad only, of course...). Tell me what you can.

You can get a new set (clear or daimond) from:
www.sportcompactonly.com
www.procarparts.com
www.customenterprise.com

or eBay motors section

I wouldn't worry about it if you're not in a high crime area much.

I park in NYC at least once a week and have never had mine stolen.

what part of nyc? if you park in the city, where its busy you wont really have to worry... unless you park in the hood, while these crackheads rape your car while your driving...

NYC Peeps

Geez, how many of you kids live in NYC? I live in the city of Knoxville, not downtown, but definitely in the city. I want do do quite a few mods for my car, I've found the best anti-theft device is a deck-strobe for your windshield, pop that sucker up everytime you park your car, everyone thinks you're an undercover cop and leaves the fudge alone. Just make sure you use amber/clear and no red/blue combination before you find yourself talking to a REAL undercover cop. Also be careful with strobes, you can get yourself in a TON of trouble. There was a guy here recently arrested for "impersonating a police officer" for modding his Crown Vic to look like the local undercovers.

I live in si too, but had mines jacked a year ago while parking in Chelsea Piers, manhattan.. Sucks I had to replace all my sockets, they took them all. Had to spend 80 bucks to get everything back to the way it was..
