I got in my car on sun and drove it to my uncles house. I got back in it and the air bag light started flashing at me. Im getting rid of the car so I need to get this fixed. My question is can I drive the car with out worring about the air bags just going off while Im driving down the road. Any help that you guys can give me would be great..

No risk of surprise deployment

To further answer the question... you have no worry about the air bags deploying unexpectedly. The worry is just the opposite: they might not deploy in a crash.

Please follow the Warning Light Reset procedure in the post cited by Jay_x. If the problem persists, take it to your dealer.

I'm an automotive trimmer by trade, which means that I do all interior work and convertible tops. I'm the "airbag guy" at my shop, and I'll tell you that I get a whole bunch of cars coming in for airbag replacement. I really don't think it'll go off on you, but hey, it's flashing for a reason, right? I assume your car's out of warranty....if you don't find other answers, take it to a dealer....but they'll end up replacing it, because there's no "fix-it" possibilities.

It worked for me

I had this same problem. It started flashing after I had disconnected the battery and airbag terminals, then reconnected them later. Daniel B. Martin's instructions on resetting the airbag light worked for me. Give it a shot, you've nothing to lose.
