my max has a engine knocking sound when it is first warming up it goes away after the engine is reved a couple of times also when in park engine shaking, irradic idling , ive been working on vq's for a few years i have a scan tool the code i always get is random misfire po300 also fuel temp sensor p0180, my coils were replaced in 2004, ive check all sensors and the work fine this has baffled me for a while has any one had this similar problem ? hope my engine is not finished have intake and warpspeed exhaust system. well maintained engine. just this problem is hard to find. have a 96 maxima

 

Rod knock or spark knock?

yes sound like it i hope its not the sound mainly comes from the rear valve cover

 

the link provided didnt help had no indication of the engine knocking i check the injectors an the are fine i swap them from a 98 max still the same problem even power flushed them same problem, also ks, various other sensor were changed, have to test the fuel pressure may be its a dying fuel pump

 

 

sounds like rod knock like crankshaft something is knocking in the rear of the engine bay

 

might be time for a new car or engine
