Suggestions On Strut Bars, Sway Bars, Lower Tie Bars

I am about to get a strut bar and a sway bar for my 96 max. suggestions? I saw a Bhlemco Stage II lower tie bar from liuspeed. Is it necessary to have two for the front? Top and bottom? will it make it handle and prevent bending better? Are ther lower tie bars for the back too? Appreciate suggestions. Thanks!

is the tie bar an "anti-sway bar"? if so its worth it to have one on the back, and i think one comes on the front stock. (if im not mistaken).
but a front strut is worth it, the rear strut is not needed but if you can find one for cheap they do help allittle... but its not worth it, IF its to expensive.

other than that i dont know to much about it.

I am planning to get the rear sway bar from custom enterprise. I saw the strut bars from paradox systems too. then the lower tie bar from liuspeed. check them out. here are the links. I don't want to get generic ones coz i feel like they'll break or something.

wow! do you really need the heavy duty one? i couldn't even justify spending $100+ on a FSTB!! that thing looks super heavy too. it doesn't look like it would clear the AC piping very well. hmm, check e-bay. best best imo...

Ebay for FSTB, the $100 one would probably not make a difference you would feel or it would not be enough to spend the extra $75 on.

Go to matt blehm for LTB. http://www.mattblehm.com/suspension.htm

Progress or stillen RSB, but some have said it is not good to have if you are lowered a lot or at all. With stock springs it is supposed to make a big difference.

Don't buy a strut bar that's made by Otto Racing. It looks cool but you have to modify the mounting base on your car.

fstb - get it from ebay
rsb - get it from CM (progress/addco tech)
ltb - get it from blemhco

fstb - increase responsiveness on steering, slightly improve cornering
rsb - stablize rear-end, but introduce over-steering
ltb - good combo if u have rsb, cuz it reduce over-steering

i donno how to explain it, but one day when u 0wn all these mods u'll understand...

actually, I have this installed on my Max, and after just pressing down with a little weight on the AC hoses, it fit fine. no play and no rattle. no contact.

what do you mean 4-point? do you mean instead of 3 bolts at the top of each strut mount, there should be 4? cuz that doesn't make any sense and would not work. the struts only have 3. or do you mean 4 parts?

well for some cars... they mount at 4 POINTS hence the name. i think the 2 towers and the other 2 at some other part of the chasis near the back..

the ftsb mounts on 2 points (regarldess of bolts) the 2 front struts. im just curious if theres some that mount the traditional 2 front tower as well as the

oh, ok, now i know what your talkin about. like a 4 point as in more bars? like a 4 vs. 5-point racing harness? my friend has a 2002 SI, I believe and last time I saw it, I asked her to pop the hood and it had a bar and then two other bars that connected to the rear of the engine bay, near the firewall. would that be a 3 or 4 or anything?

Get the least expensive front strut tower bar, if you are not going to lower your car get the rear anti-sway bar. The RSB will be very noticeable on a stock height Max.
